Shoot the messenger is still shoot the messenger --- it hasn't changed since the dawn of civilization.

None of your round-a-bout has *anything* to do with the words of Brig. Gen. Mark Scheid, commander of the Army Transportation Corps and of Fort Eustis... or the words of the Marine Corps Chief of Intelligence in Iraq, Col. Pete Devlin.

They speak for themselves, and the words don't change when printed in the Washington Times, or the NY Post, or the Courier Journal, or USA Today, or wherever.

If you want to critique media, have fun with that, but DON'T lose sight of the message that is merely transmitted by the news outlet.
