Red herring WR.. Nice try...

But there was no peace treaty after Desert Storm.. Only a UNSC sponsored cease-fire which contained SPECIFIC TERMS that Saddam had to meet in order to remain in power.

That was the deal in 1991.. Saddam complies and we won't remove him as a penalty for invading Kuwait.

And 15 members of the UNSC unanimously found he was in "Material Breach" of that cease fire resolution..

Were we to adopt your logic, NO criminal who violated their probation would ever be punished. You'd just say "well, they aren't committing that crime anymore, so let them go"

And message to the thread in general. Please file this post and refer back to it when you feel compelled to spread this kind of BS.
