Funny you should bring that up. Equally strange that MON seems to be involved. I don't believe that for a second. Just nti-corp rumors,eh? Not our MON, good neighbors that they are.
I don't believe this bill has passed. There is a bill legalizing hemp, tho. On Roidboy's desk. Haven't heard what he's done with it.

SACRAMENTO ­ Lawmakers are considering a bill that would give the state stronger authority to regulate seeds, legislation that would effectively void voter-approved county bans of genetically engineered seed.

Sen. Dean Florez, D-Shafter, the author of Senate Bill 1056, said local bans approved in Mendocino, Trinity and Marin counties create confusion for farmers and the seed industry
