However, rather than your conclusion I would right from "it's probably best to" change the situation such that the two groups stop fighting each other and are able to live together in peace, harmony and equality. That's what my 20-50 year reunification plan is designed to achieve.

It might be designed to achieve that, but it is very unlikely to achieve that.


Why do you say that? Look at Serbia - two ethnic groups were at war there 10 years ago, and their "unification plan" seems to be going fairly well today. No reason the same couldn't be achieved in a few decades in Israel-Pal. As the young adults that have experienced hostilities get old and die off their kids, which haven't experienced the same hostilities, are much less hateful toward the other group.
