We sent in an army to invade and occupy Iraq -- they never left. We are still trying to occupy Iraq, but we have failed and failed in a miserable fashion. The failure of our attempt to achieve a successful occupation does not negate the fact that we have an army of occupation in Iraq. We continue to have a failed occupation of Iraq with a failing army of occupation.
