Do I sense a slight change of sentiment on your side recently?!


My sentiment changed somewhat over a month ago when the magnitude of the AMD/Dell relationship became clearer and AMD's share price started recovering from its recent lows:

In the short-term AMD has a better chance to remain profitable in Q1 and Q2 2007, which I thought would be unlikely a couple months ago. I still feel AMD has very difficult mid- to long-term challenges to overcome. I believe those who feel that Intel has "shot their wad" with Conroe may be in for a shock over the next couple years. Conroe is still ramping, has barely shown up in retail, and has not migrated to the budget segment yet. I don't necessarily believe K8L will be AMD's savior based on Charlie's previous remarks about AMD's and Intel's future at the Inquirer and this reply at Ace's:
