Jim, an Israeli firm has come up with a technology that can be used on tanks, stryker vehicles, humvees etc. to detect and intercept RPGs in flight. NBC first reported it and it's been picked up by almost all the news outlets. It seems that somebody wants to avoid working with that Israeli firm so that Raytheon can get a defense contract to develop essentially the same thing by 2011. If you don't give out all the defense money to U.S. companies then you can't automatically have a high paying job waiting for you with a defense contractor when you get off the government payroll.
