I was that married to it...stupid. Oh well, you live and learn!!

The funny thing about this, is that now the exact opposite of what we had in the 90s is true. People REFUSE to buy and hold. They say buy and hold is over, when in fact, there are starting to be many great buy and hold growth stocks, where it is almost impossible to make as much money trading. Investors won't even sit through a normal correction. They move on and miss all the good gains.

When I was just starting out I invested 3k in a stock which at the time was a fortune to me. I held it for like 20 years, got divorced, had to give up half to my exwife and eventually sold it for around 300k (my half). So that was my success story, but those days seem to be long gone. jdn
