just to throw my hat in the ring. i owned csco, orcl and sunw. i went from 250K to 1.4 mil and did not sell. still hold all three. i believe in the long run i will reach those levels again. the reason i believe this is because they that the buildout of the internet will be bigger than the current IT expenditures which microsoft bascially owns. the infrastructure companies that help in this secular buildout will do exceptionally well. like other people on this thread though, when i reach a million in these stocks i am going to take a huge chunck off the table and diversify. i told my broker yesterday to call me every week and tell me diversify once the goal is reached. i did this all by the age of 36, now i am 44. i like jdn real estate deals though. they always go up in the long run.
