The main reason I keep a toe into this debate is that I like to remind people that in this, as in so much else in life, the middle ground is far larger than the poles. That's the basis for my engagement in this discussion, too. There seemed to be a notion that you can't both accept evolution and belief in God. This strained dichotomy doesn't hold up to even the mildest scrutiny. I'm also always exercised by any notion that we shouldn't use our brains. Whether God gave them to us or whether they just happened, they're there to be used.
