The other nice thing about LCD is you could have put it in your car and installed it yourself; they are light weight. And if you want to move it you don't need 3 weightlifters to help. Also less glare. And more solid state... less likely to get damaged.

But you will love HD and curse that there are not more HD channels.

I wanted to get an LCD because I was worried about the screen dimming over time, but the guys at Best Buy assured me that this generation of plasmas will go ten years without significant degradation. Works for me.

From what I've seen, plasma is considerably more expensive than LCD.
