Maybe if Brazil could do it we could to (although we have a lot of differences, more cars both total and per capita, more miles driven etc.) but what is it?

It isn't "stop using oil", or "stop using oil derived fuels in vehicles", it is merely "stop importing oil"

We could do that, but only with a lot more pain and difficulty than Brazil. We don't have the ability to expand our domestic crude production as much, also Brazil the corn we use to produce alcohol is less efficient than Brazil's sources.

Quit spreading baseless slurs across the whole site.
