You might try not prefacing all your posts with "Liar". I suppose since you can't argue your case you prefer to attack the person your arguing with but I don't think your convincing anyone.

Yes the US economy would do fine with slightly higher CAFE standards. The fact that it would be a negative for the economy doesn't mean the economy would be devastated by it. Breaking up monopolies and prosecuting price-fixing is entirely irrelevant to my post as is prosecuting tax cheats. I have no problem with any of those ideas but they aren't very relevant to the issues I'm talking about. The same goes for balancing budgets.

Nationalizing health care and getting completely off any fuel that pollutes (at least in a span shorter than several generations) would cause great damage.

I suppose since you want to get off any fuel that pollutes you should stop praising Brazil. Not only are they increasing their use of Brazilian crude oil, but also the alcohol which you seem to like so much, causes pollution when burned.
