You guys started this war.....you fight it. And if you don't fight it, then you all are cowards right down to the Bush twins.

I didn't start this war. Neither did the Bush twins. Neither of us really even knows the Bush twins opinion of it.

Don't play semantics.........these are your leaders not mine. They started these wars.

Most politicians who participated in getting it started are to old to join up. Their kids may or may not be supporters of the war, either way the adult children are responsible for their own actions.

I see.......in your opinion, they can start wars but have no personal responsibility when it comes to fighting them. I don't agree with your POV.

Also if the eventual Democratic candidate for president is not a veteran and doesn't have a child who is serving are you going to bash him or her?

Yes.

Do you go around bashing Democratic politicians in general if they haven't served? Of course not.

I will if they start a war. How dare anyone start a war, one of the ugliest events in the history of humanity, when they have never fought in one? Particularly when that war is not a defensive one. How dare they?

You're missing the point. It wasn't a Dem. who started this war.

I'm not missing it. Its meaningless. Either having served is an important criteria for people who decide important national security issues or it isn't. If it is, that includes people opposing the war.

I disagree. Some people have no empathy. They can't imagine how bad something is without experiencing it first hand. People like Bush, Cheny and ole Rummie fall into that group. They need to experience war first hand before they can be allowed to start one. People like me don't have to experience war to know that its hell and something you do as a last resort.

shouldn't you be giving us your monthly speech that things are not that bad in Iraq?

I don't think I've ever said that things aren't so bad in Iraq, let alone given monthly speeches about it. I might have said that things are not as horrible as some people claim but there's a lot of distance between that and "things are not so bad".

You know, Tim, you play alot of word games.
