Well, there are a lot of Muslims in Canada, and the US. Obviously we are dealing more with some bad apples rather than a million terrorist-wannabes. I've been to church and heard some pretty nutty stuff from Christian pastors, like one receiving revelations from God that California was going to be totally destroyed as punishment for being so evil and decadent (while virtually foaming at the mouth and drooling in excitement). One of the last times I visited a church was when I was in the US Midwest and I told the pastor I was a Canadian and he virtually commanded me from the pulpit (without naming me specifically) to come forward and prostrate myself and confess my sins -- seems to me the way he looked at me he assumed that Canadians are a bunch of liberals (= vile sinners), maybe needing to be zapped by God or by George Bush's awesome righteous war machine. Hmmm... I wonder what these people are saying about Muslims if Californians and Canadians are so bad? Are Muslims the only ones who have nutcases preaching from the pulpits?
