That seems to be the only way.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the feature.

My policy is to determine who has me on ignore and
place that person on ignore. It really doesn't change anything
because you can't pm to someone who has you on ignore and they cannot pm you. I place such people on ignore because
it will cause their own ignore "score" to rise. I think that is only fair because I feel that use of the ignore function is
probably more illustrative than other measures as to what the poster is about. If people choose to use it, their profiles should reflect it.

But that's just me<g>

That's the only way I know to determine if someone has me on ignore Suma. If you find a better way let me know.
