The Unites States already tried that. The older among you may recall that a few decades ago when pot was grown outdoors in Mexico rather than indoors in Canada, the United Statians aerial sprayed some herbicide whose name I can't recall -- such forgetfulness is surely a symptom of something! -- on the crops with the attitude "Let the damn addicts be poisoned". They were quickly forced to stop by the general public uproar, but not before poisoning a whole bunch of poverty-stricken Mexicans. LC
