Peter, There is only one reason for a poll, or survey, and that is to gather information on those individuals that participate. Then one should wonder why the pollsters want that information. If one thinks about it long enough, they will ultimately find that giving out that information could be a big mistake.

Some make the mistake of thinking that opinions can be called "the facts", which is one of the major tools in con games.
