New Poll: Democrats lead by 14% Over Repubs. Public trusts parties equally on national security. Bush's base comes home but no one else is behind him. And you have to seriously question the sanity and ethics of that "base". news.yahoo.com

Bush having another meltdown today....
in answering the question of what he thought of having OUR SOLDIERS captured, tortured, confessed, and put on trial with SECRET EVIDENCE.....he said IT WAS A GOOD THING AND THAT THESE STANDARDS (of torture, secret tribunals, and NON geneva convention treatment)WOULD MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE
he's LOST IT!
he's so confused trying to shore up his little KINGDOM that he's desperate
Q Mr. President, critics of your proposed bill on interrogation rules say there's another important test -- these critics include John McCain, who you've mentioned several times this morning -- and that test is this: If a CIA officer, paramilitary or special operations soldier from the United States were captured in Iran or North Korea, and they were roughed up, and those governments said, well, they were interrogated in accordance with our interpretation of the Geneva Conventions, and then they were put on trial and they were convicted based on secret evidence that they were not able to see, how would you react to that, as Commander-in-Chief?

THE PRESIDENT: David, my reaction is, is that if the nations such as those you named, adopted the standards within the Detainee Detention Act, the world would be better.

I know of POWs. And so does others who are familiar with the Geneva Convention.

Fortunately for this country there are folks like John McCain who know what torture means. People like Gen. Colin Powell, a decorated soldier, who could have ordered torture but refrained from doing so in the name of God and his country.

They are telling this moron duo of Bush and Cheney, who ran away from military service, what serving in the military with dignity and honor means.

I would ask all reading this post to write to the White House and their Congress reps to uphold the values of human dignity by not resorting to torture.

Bushies hate the Geneva Convention. So did Hitler. Think about that. I'm not saying Bushies are as bad, but they're certainly headed in Hitler's direction, and with great gusto. There are many similarities.

Bushies also hate the Constitution. Isn't that treason? It should be. So who are the real patriots? Not those who hate the Constitution and use 9-11 as a phony excuse to scrap it. And who allowed 9-11 to happen? Not Clinton. He stopped Al Qaida's attack in the US in 1999. But did Bush?
