Trade? I agree that would be very foolish. Whether one believes in God or not, it is virtually impossible to criticise Omnipotence. There are, however, plenty of valid criticisms that could be explored with relation to any social organizations and authority, since these things are wrought with human fallibility.

It becomes a pointless exercize in talking passed one another when you get into the trading recriminations mode.

If the broad sweeping brush of condemnation is used to paint an entire group of diverse people, I feel an obligation to correct the record as far as I am able, even if it is only a small minority that is being misrepresented, even if it is only one.

In this case Cobaltblue is going to anti-Muslim historians to explain Islam and the Muslim perspective. That approach usually carries a great deal of unjust bias along with the information which may be based in fact. There is no need to make comparisons, however, except to the extent that shows how the bias is effecting the discussion.
