No sweat. If you want some advice from a guy with a lot of experience: It's not a judgement on YOU. I've worked in corps where they layed off all the productive people and kept the worthless management brown-nosers. Both of those startups later failed completely, and my being layed off was a blessing. Work toward independence NOW, and always. Contemplate the reality of being laid off, know it can happen to you (no denial), and get past the fear to a real, positive strategy for dealing with it.
