Re: "polls form opinions. That is what they are used for."

Don't play *dense*.

I ALREADY explained that a so-called 'push poll' is what you are talking about --- and that is simply NOT an honest, scientific poll, but rather a PHONY manipulation that is only coloquially called a "poll".

See:

"polls are a tool for manipulation of public opinion."

No... that would be what is known as a 'push poll', a DISHONEST non-poll.

The OPPOSITE of what a non-biased scientific poll is supposed to be.

(You DIDN'T ANSWER... so now you jump in on some one else's conversation and repost the same *already responded to* weird conspiracy theories of yours....)

Give it a rest.

Surveying public opinions (using a scientifically valid sub-sample of the target population to extrapolate the larger populations views from the smaller sampling) uses standard statistical analysis and design techniques... and well tested mathematics.

Don't try to TELL US that MARKETERS spend HARD COLD CASH on polling (so they can learn how to sell more of their products to the public) and are willing to pour that money down the drain by wasting their efforts on non-scientific polling that can tell them nothing useful because it is compromised from the beginning.

Don't try to TELL US that politicians would waste GOOD MONEY on a worthless data gathering effort, and then maybe lose the next election, all because... what? They are just STUPID?
