When I watch how the rest of you live, I can't worry about the tiny bit of pollution I create in comparison with the rest of the public.

Can you prove that? Are those cars only using 20 gals a month like he is? Have you measured his emissions? Maybe he keeps it tuned and the tires filled.
Why don't you two take that test and see who has the biggest footprint?
