To be fair, most people seem to have "fragile egos" when it comes to slams of their religion- to the point where I think it is useless to say that. Christianity is dominant in this country, and yet, you'd think it was in danger of becoming extinct from some of the rhetoric you read by people who feel their Christianity is under attack just because it doesn't get to be as dominant, or as entwined with the state, as it was in the past.

There are certainly some problems with radical Muslims, but I imagine moderate Muslims feel terribly pressured right now, because they do not agree with the radicals, but they don't agree with the perceptions of non-Muslims either. Surely their anger is understandable. I can even understand the anger of Christians in this country who perceive that they are under attack in a country that is 85/90% Christian. Perception is everything. I'm not sure that is as much about fragility of ego as it is about the fragility of "reality" (of the non existence of one reality).
