Savior: Muslims believe Jesus was concieved by a miraculous immaculate conception by a pure virgin woman blessed by God (Mary). That he was a perfect and sinless deliverer of God's message to human beings, performing miracles as evidence of the authority granted him by God. That he himself was a model of 'The Way' of life that would achieve God's perfect mercy. So, living according to Jesus's message and model of life will save any human being in light of God's judgement. I know Muslims have a positive view of Jesus, Abraham, Moses, etc as prophets. But they consider them all to be Muslims. Thus Jesus' way to a Muslim is Islam and thus a Muslim can say that following Jesus's message and model will save them - since they think Jesus was a really good Muslim. The difference between the Muslim and Christian belief however is more than a hair. And it seems misleading to depict Islam as a kind of quasi-Christianity, though your version of Islam may be to you - I'm not sure. The real doctrinal issue that Muslims and Christians alike get so uppity about that they want to kill somebody is John 3:16. Who is wanting to kill somebody over john 3:16?
