His studies and his career are primarily in architecture, but his firm included an entire structural engineering department. And, as I mentioned, one of his senior engineers did his own (non-funded) research into the collapse. As I noted in my post, this is FWIW. But, knowing what I know about him and his firm, after speaking to him on the topic, I came away feeling like his comments were worth quite a bit to me. It will not be possible to relay this to the people on this board in its full depth, but thought it was worth mentioning. I'll never, ever convince Doug, or even sway him to the slightest degree, I'm sure of that.
