Cant say the same about the North West Frontier Province in Pakistan.... that region (which used to include current Afghanistan), has never been "ruled" by any one, since the time of Alexander the Great... The only person I recollect them guys having any respect for is Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan (aka Frontier Gandhi). EDIT: To understand that region, one needs to understand a sport called "Buzkashi".... I guess the modern day polite version is called Polo.
