#2 answer is garbage. They attack us because they resent the influence we have in their region of the world.

I agree with most of what else he says, including the need for profiling in our defensive measures against terrorists.

I disagree with him that it is of no concern that we humiliate prisoners. If we are to have the moral high ground we should act accordingly.

There is one point I think he fails to present. That terrorism is a tactic of desperation. They use these types of attacks because they have the intelligence to know that if they face us in a head to head fight we will prevail. Terrorism is a tactic used when one is hopelessly outmanned and outgunned. The biggest risk is that terrorists will acquire weapons of mass destruction. We need to do everything possible to make sure that doesn't happen.
