What is hard to figure out is where they come from. I mean, they hired so many criminals to work in the government, you'd think there would be a shortage...

Crime went down every year of the Bush administration except 2005 (2006 is to early to tell).

To the extent that the difference is a function of government is primarily local, and then state. Its not mostly a federal issue. And it probably has a lot more to do with demographic changes and other things that are not the direct results of government polices.

But than you take 1 year of data, that probably has little or nothing to do with federal government policies, and extract from that "Crime goes up under GOP administrations"
