I agree and my personal response to this is to switch around some of my holdings that did not move much this year into others that held up better during the pullback.

One that comes to mind is GGN. That stock has held very well and I want to be an owner before things turn around. So I will make a trade but still be an investor.

Yes ! It prompts me to reply to John that gold is down today because it was up yesterday. And it is just as likely to be up as down tomorrow. It fluctuates ! Not sure about trends ! In my experience I have been able to look back and see trends, but not forward.
