KLP Islam is a religion of peace and they'll smash, slash, stab, burn and bomb anyone who says anything different.

It's ironic that they'd shoot a nun in the back since nuns have a habit of wearing a habit which is not far off a burqa.

And yet, many (not just one) of the Muslim world say TERRIBLE things about our President, our Country, our leaders, our ReligionS (all of them, except theirs),....and NADA a single person has been killed by the Jews nor by the Christians/Catholics, or any other Religion in this country.

Yes.. that's the sad thing about all of this. Christianity is not full of "barking dogs" (though we have a few), but rather people who are taught to "turn the other cheek". Militants within other religions take advantage of this as a sign of weakness.

But I don't want Christianity to become militarized. I don't want to see it warped in the manner that it was during the Crusades.

But that does not say that we can't defend ourselves against the outright hostility being directed against us.

Even Americans have their tipping point, and we may be close to reaching it.

I reached my "tipping point" on 9/11. My belief is that we must oppose ALL Militant Religious fanatics, not just Muslim. We must not be afraid to denounce the use of violence to force people to convert to a particular religion.

And you're also right.. if the Christian world reacted to the hate-filled rhetoric coming from the mouths of many Islamic leaders IN THE MANNER that we're currently seeing from Muslims over the Pope's comments, there wouldn't be a Mosque left standing in the Western world.

Christianity, and especially Judaism, has had to bear the brunt of Muslim threats, insults, and denigration for centuries. And we've seen a resurgence of this since at least 1948, if not long earlier.

Al-Qaeda in Iraq warned in an Internet statement Monday that it will wage jihad, or holy war, until the West is defeated.

"We say to the servant of the cross (the pope): wait for defeat... We say to infidels and tyrants: wait for what will afflict you. We continue our jihad. We will not stop until the banner of unicity flies throughout the world," said the statement attributed to the Mujahedeen consultative council.

"We will smash the cross," it added, promising Muslims they would "conquer Rome... as they conquered Constantinople."

Another armed group linked to Al-Qaeda, Ansar al-Sunna (Partisans of the Precepts of the Prophet), threatened in a website statement to attack the West -- Italy in particular.

Calling the pope "Satan's hellhound in the Vatican," the statement addressed to "Crusaders" said: "The day is coming when the armies of Islam will destroy the ramparts of Rome."
