EP, whether we will muddle through per Mauldin, or reach for the Argentina (depression bust) conclusion, or aspire to the Zimbabwe (hyper inflationary bust) outcome will matter a lot to whether gold reaches for 3000 with or without first touching 300. I prefer the Zimbabwe outcome, am OK with the Argentina conclusion, and fear the willy by the nilly muddle through scenario.
