Yes, it is true that the problems are: 1) The massive flushing of ignorant money by the likes of the "moderator" in question, and 2) Ignorant money does not have the sophistication to go searching and reading...

But SI cannot and should not set itself up to be the arbiter judging those distinctions. It's up to the users; that's why it's a user community. SI should be exactly middle grey, much as it's painful to see chit happen; the users should keep the community clean. If SI took one side or another, it opens up a whole can of unintentional and uncontrollable worms that affect the viability of the business for all of us.

Smart people who are "ignorant sometimes" will catch on by being observant. Stupid people who are "stupid all the time" won't ever have a prayer in hell anyway. Just for example, both Janice and I were completely taken in on one or two penny scams way way back in the early days. Some folks graduate past that by reading more on the boards, and others ... just don't graduate. <g>
