We don't keep statistics on moderator changes. They happen but are relatively rare. Changes usually occur on active boards where the previous moderator is either dormant on the site or where the current moderator is no longer interested in the topic or does not have time to moderate.

We are not currently entertaining any changes to the board structure except perhaps to offer some additional types of boards, but can't comment further on that at this time.

SI users have total control over which boards they read. If they are not happy with the moderation of a particular board they can choose an alternative board or start their own. If users choose to read boards where contrary opinions are suppressed, that is their decision to make - nobody is compelled to participate in the dialog or to read it. Users wishing to express contrary opinions on a stock have the ability to do so, but not necessarily on a board where readers -choose- to not hear it. The reality is that some folks are more interested in the PEP rally than the outcome of the game, while others are eager to perform an autopsy on a still-breathing company. Different strokes...

Message board operators are not arbiters of truth - readers are. The reader determines the veracity of the posts they read. They and they alone are responsible for evaluating the relative worth and influence their readings have on their investment decisions.
