Far easier for people to tell difference between hand and foot than left and right.

But what can we do about *middle* mouse button?

If the users are that unable to learn how to operate a computer after "many years" then perhaps they shouldn't be operating a computer at all.

Absolutely. I am often asked for help by Windows users, who have difficulty figuring out when to right-click and when to left-click. Some of these people have been using Windows for many years.
