From the other responses, it appears that you have the real reasons. They are fairly certain that you will not allow your ideology to get tainted. You have aptly proven yourself to be an ideological leftist who is unwilling to consider anything that would reduce your commitment to the far left ideology. When you read the words it is with the attitude of the dialog of the deaf, looking for a way to refute it and never considering the value. Let me tell you......at the beginning of the invasion of Iraq, I finally decided that maybe I didn't have all the facts as your Mr. Bush knew them. So I decided I would go along with the war even though it went against everything I have ever known or believed. I feared a disaster. But then, ole Rummie was saying that the duration of the war would be "six days, six weeks but no more than six months". Given his confidence, and the right singing the praises of his intellect, I thought.....I can take six months of just about anything. Well, you know what, three years later, I was right and your Mr. Bush and your ole Rummie were dead wrong........and the war continues to this day. When the stakes are that big and with so many lives on the line while billions are being doled out, with me, you get one chance and one chance only.......and when you blow that chance, that's it. Finito! There are no more chances even if you do everything else perfectly and trust me, your Mr. Bush has not even come close to that. My God, there are people in your own party who want him out of office as badly as I do. What can you possibly be thinking??? "I am on the side of what America once stood for" That is the problem, it stood for the values that conservatives embody for most of its history, and only once for a brief moment stood for the values you yearn for. It is a society of responsibility where the best are theoretically allowed to rise to the top and not held back by organizations like unions. Dude, are you really trying to tell me that the last 6 years is business as usual? What kool-aid have you been drinking? You need to stay away from sugar........it seems to cause you hallucinations. I hope to God that these years have not been an example of conservative values because if they are, we will have do everything we can to keep conservatives away from the reigns of power.
