LC, the cultural megatrend going forward will be the cultural metamorphases from dogmatic cultures to existential cultures. So going forward, two variables will decide the fate of mankind: 1) how we resolve the clash of cultures now that the global village puts all cultures elbow to elbow (not doing to well so far-lol), and 2) how mankind deals with the reality of existentialism. Something few people talk about, for PC reasons among others, is that there is a fairly large population of people out there, like me, that claim no "people' and no culture. I simply identify with the human species in general and one country ---earth. They call us a "reality based community"-lol. For me, none of the traditional cultures provides norms and mores I can follow e.g. ALL traditional cultures on earth are sexist. I cannot support a sexist culture, or a racist culture. Funny how virtually every religion on earth is very inherently sexist and yet is not challenged thusly??
