I think most Western countries want to do just that; but how can we when the people we want to get along with won't listen to reason or even enter into rational discussion? Your council to "be patient and try to understand" is fine if there's some means of discourse, but lacking that, and given the seemingly prevelant attitude of "Death To America," patience and understanding don't seem too wise." I get your point about Islamic countries vs Countries with Muslims. That is a fairly small number however. " but lacking that," Lacking that, if we are talking about terrorists, terrorist groups, armed insurgencies, or enemy nations ... kill them is my advice. My comments regarding gaining more understanding and using patience had to do with supporting reasonable efforts to get to know one another, promote diplomacy, and use of resources to negotiate where diverse interests are involved.
