"Jesus Christ ... did more for the spread of civilization than any nation in the history of the earth." Interesting, did you know the whole of the Jesus story is one told at least a thousand years before he was born, or fell to earth as you suggest. There's is little that is original in the Jesus story. The stories are symbolic, you are mistaken to take them literally. To think he is God, is ridiculous to my mind, but I respect your faith. What have his missionaries done in Africa, India, china, in fact, for most of the world? Little in my opinion. The world would have done just fine without him. Jesus only spoke to the Jews and he never told his disciples to do anything outside Hebraic law. You should check out some of the religious texts the church tried to destroy and that have been rediscovered. Better to refer to a moral behavior that comes from education and a good upbringing than some guy who predicted he'd be right back if he were to die. We're waiting, you whooo!
