It's funny. I'm working in a company that buys Dell primarily but even as Macs converge on being identical to traditional x86 PCs people still pull strings to get Macs for the advertising folks.

Since quark has been dropped and Adobe CS is on every mac (and Adobe CS is on several Windows machines as well) there doesn't seem to be any technical reason not to drop Apple and just force those users to switch to W2K/WXP.

We don't let people in other departments buy different brands. Only MIS and Advertising have the clout to choose their own hardware.

So long as the box is pretty and the OS is the way they like it the Mac users will take whatever Apple shoves down their throats. Within reason of course, but it does smack of Ford Model T (any color you want as long as it is X).
