which means expectations are for 11.5 million ipods in q4. Not spectacular like last Q4, but not bad either. And with the mac sales, should be a blowout.

I think you need to look more closely at those numbers. They wouldnt just be classified as bad, but spectacularly bad. The unit numbers would be down 18%, and even worse, the ASP's would be down significantly as well (six million shuffle's!). My rough calculations would have them down $1.2 billion in sales or about 40% YoY.

I know Macs are doing well but that would mean a significant portion of that segments growth would go towards making up the loss of iPod sales.
