Well, if you can unban, so can I. The 'you' wasn't well-defined there, I do agree. It had started as a reference to LL, in the previous para, but then became a rather generic "you" for "the voice of the US", referring to the meme being pushed by the Rumsfeld-Cheney-Bush core constantly invoking fascism as the enemy. Basically I was implying that their words are in sharp contrast with their actions; they are taking steps of which a fascist party would thoroughly approve even while they vigorously try and paint themselves as opposed to fascism... they're in the closet about it, as it were. I didn't even notice this subject changing particularly as I wrote it - I did pick up that it was ill-written when I wrote my followup, so changed it to make it a little clearer (I said 'he' specifically about Bush). So yes, I suppose reading it cold it could be taken as something rather more direct than I intended, implying that LL specifically rather than the US generally are the closet fascists. Of course, I might comment that only someone with reason to feel offended on the point would do so, but that would be unduly provocative... Feel free to ban me again now.
