Beheadings were common during the Spanish Inquisition and many other times the "warriors of Christ" sought vengeance. Guillotines also used to be a common form of executions in the west.

The CIA also used decapitation God knows how many times during Operation Phoenix in Vietnam. Some of the SpecOps guys who had to carry out those missions were the ones who pleaded with Kerry to tell their stories in front of congress in 1971. Also, many US bombs have blown heads off bodies. Including the heads of babies, woman and children. The networks won't show that on TV but it's very real. In fact we don't even ned bombs to behead. Our automatic rifles have plenty of firepower.

The Terrorists who behead are sickos for sure and ought to be hunted down and killed, but they don't have a monopoly on decapitation. Also, the Berg video is very unclear about whether it's real or not. There are all kinds of questions as to the accuracy of that video.

What you need is a trip to the Middle East. You need to learn about the real world. I've been there. I know the divisions and hatred, but also the common ground.

I also know we hate them too. We don't respect Islam or "ragheads". Never have. Ever since the beginning we've treated them like third class citizens. The real problem is that we need their oil so badly. And we feel entield to it too, don't we? But that's not very realistic.

Maybe it's time to get off oil. I mean completely. Then we won't need their frigging desert armpits of civilization anymore. Then we can say go to hell and we can get away with it. But as of now we are slaves to the oil-rich Arab nations. How do you like being a slave to a rich corrupt sheik who secretly finances AL Qaida and also embraces GW Bush? How does it feel to be loyal to leaders who are bought and paid for by big oil interests?
