Depending on how much they trusted the security of their anonymity with the poll, and how worried they were or weren't about the consequences of being caught with illegal music files, the actual numbers might be very close to or very far from the poll results. No way of knowing without having more information on the methodology.

But I don't see that it really matters, in terms of iPod sales. In this case, Apple is making money on the razors, not the blades.

PS: The clinic where I started my chemotherapy today has an open Wireless network for patients, and they even provide computers for people who don't bring their own. It's an outpatient program. Right now I'm posting from my temporary home, here in the hills overlooking Los Angeles. Very nice. I'm a very lucky guy. And thanks for the good wishes.
