Stern just talked about it. Looks like NAB has hired a publicist to plant false stories about Stern. Wonder if the XMSR tout got any of that contract?

He says he was offerred 3 FM deals and turned them all down. Would never go to FM. No FCC.

Had dinner with Mel last week and nothing ever discussed or contemplated that remotely resembles what is in that article.

Very happy and success is beyond his and Mel's wildest beliefs. Mel has repeatedly said he would do the deal again and again.

Meanwhile, on this "news," XMSR continues to tank. Not at $60 predicted price.

If so, I'm sure Stern will have to bite the bullet. That means he might have to re-negotiate his 100M a year or work out some kind of deal. From what I read Citadel is who they are nego with. Either way, the outcome might be good for publicity and plugging Sirius. I can see him doing a 1/2 hour show enticing folks with Stern stuff on broadcast radio and setting them up for more if they listen to Sirius. It's all just a pressure play and I'm sure a written in stone contract will keep all honest. I personally haven't read the contract so I don't know what's was written but I'm sure there is a clause for this kind of situation.
