If people launch artillery rockets from your roof or right outside your house you should expect to be in a lot of danger.

If you let them do it willingly you deserve to be in danger, you aren't an innocent civilian any more. If they force you to let them do it, than they are putting you at danger and they are primarily at fault if you get hurt or killed by any response.
