Doug posted a paper to you written by an engineer and published in an engineering journal. Did you read that paper? The author says that the kinetic energy of the falling upper part was not enough to collapse even the first encountered floor. And this was after he assumed that the collapsing floor consumed 0 energy. He concluded that the gravity only fall of the upper portion of the wtc through one story would have been arrested by the lower building.
