But it won't do that. Illegal acts that have been committed are still illegal even if the law changes. What it will do is allow the administration to whine that the Democrats are playing partisan games since those actions are now legal, and the Tench's out there will eat it up.

I agree. We are still a nation of the rule of law... I think. Bush, Cheney and Rummy are all vulnerable if we collectively come to our senses.
