Iran a potential superpower in the region. As they were 2.300 years ago until Alexander the great invaded them.

Lest we forget, Iran WAS a regional "superpower" under the Shah.

Iran's population, alone, makes it a regional power of some consequence.

Btw, I was VERY PLEASED to see Bush directly address the Iranian people and adopting the policy of distinguishing the religious mullahs from the Iranian majority.

It's long overdue.
