Bush ignored the 8-6-01 warning of OBL Determined to Strike Inside the US. That was 8 months after Clinton left office. Bush neded only to make one phonecall to alert all federal agencies, and 9-11 probably would have been stopped. But Bush was on vacation and he did absolutely nothing. Neither did Rice or Ashcroft or Rumsfeld or any who supposedly care about national security.

Clinton had nothing to do with it. In fact his crack team under Richard Clarke stopped the 1999 LAX Al Qaida bombing plan and Bush disbanded that entire unit and did not replace it. You can't spin Clinton into the blame game. He wasn't there. Blaming predecessors for your problems is really wimpy too. Clarke apologized to the American people. So did Reagan for Iran Contra and Kennedy for the Bay of Pigs. Bush and his people should all apologize, both for 9-11 and Iraq.
